Oceansgate welcomes new tenants WH Scott & Son Engineers Ltd

Oceansgate is pleased to welcome new business WH Scott & Son Engineers Ltd to Endurance Court, part of the Phase 1 development within Oceansgate. WH Scott & Son have moved into a double light industrial unit of 1,928 sq ft. There are currently no units left within the Phase 1 development but there are three units left in Phase 2 which will be ready for occupation in February 2021.

WH Scott & Son Engineers Ltd is a Northern Ireland based specialist lifting and handling company offering solutions and lifting equipment expertise for cranes and handling equipment. They already have contracts locally with defence companies, and a facility within Devonport Dockyard supporting 11 FTE jobs, but needed to move to bigger and better premises in order to grow their business.

They are currently in talks with other Docks, Dublin Aerospace and several smaller manufacturing plants in the Plymouth area to provide lifting equipment installation and maintenance support, and saw Oceansgate as the hub for the expansion of their business throughout the south of England. Their plan is to grow to 22 FTE jobs by the end of 2021.

“The team at  WH Scott Plymouth and I  are absolutely delighted to be moving into Oceansgate.  It will provide us with the perfect base to expand our operations in serving our customers in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.  We chose Oceansgate due to its close proximity to Devonport where our key customer Babcock international are based. As we expand out into the south west we feel Oceansgate will provide the perfect hub for us to operate from.”
